Default K3's, How many of us are there? (minor ranting included)

Just curious if anyone happens to know how many K3 applications are
currently waiting approval at MSC? Maybe I'll find it comforting if there
are say 100K others waiting to get their spouses here. Today is day 272 for
me! It took them 178 days to tell me that I needed my wife's signature on
her G-325A. That was my mistake, thinking that because everything in the
I-129F app. points to me preparing everything and being the applicant but
come on 178 days! That's 2 days short of the 180 limit they set on my NOA.
Then it took them another 48 days after receiving the sign G-325A to tell me
they now want a copy of the original and a certified translation of a
mariage document (our Act of Matrimony) that states that after our marriage
(in Mexico) it was officially registered in the state, city, municipality.
They already had this (as I paid $50 to get it translated) and they either
lost it or misplaced it! They also wanted a copy of the original and a
certified translation of our original marriage certificate. This was not
included (AND is not asked for) when I sent in the I-129F app. All that is
asked for is a document proving legal marriage. That is the Act of
Matrimony, which they got, in fact they got a copy of the original,
certified translation, AND the original itself with an official stamp from
the civil registry of the gov't of the state where we were married! I think
I'm goning for the K3 record here. Anyone wanna place bets on how long it
takes them to approve it? On top of all this my accountant has now told me
that I can't claim my wife (and our son who is included on the K3 app.) as
dependants for my taxes this year. I guess the fact that I fully pay for
their lives, have been having my company do my paychecks as married plus 1
and I'm going broke (seriously no joke!) means nothing to the IRS.

Deron,

I would tell my accountant to 'go jump' on this one! I'd file as
married and if the IRS audited me, I believe you'd have a good case.
