You may:
-Wait in the UK for your I-130 to get to the Consulate and apply for an Immigrant Visa. You will become a PR on your entry to the US (Green Card in the mail, fully work and travel authorized).
-Go to the US with your K3 & return to the UK when your visa appointment is nigh. Return with Immigrant Visa (see above).
-Go to the US with your K3 and file to Adjust Status to Permanent Resident. Live in limbo and apply for EAD to work and (possibly) AP to travel. Must file for EAD to get Social Security number, regardless of job or not.
Among the deciding factors:
-How long it will take the I-130 to get to the consulate (may be several months)
-How long AOS takes at your local office (may be 6 months to 3 years)
-How eager you are to get to the US right now
-How eager you are to begin 'counting' toward citizenship or if there are other factors that make becoming a PR quickly attractive/necessary
-How well you could afford an additional trip to the UK
And more
