Default K2, Parental Permission

Does a minor need the permission of my fiancee's ex-husband to come here on a K2
visa? I had heard earlier that parental permission to travel abroad was required when
the minor applied for his passport (in this case, Mexican passport), but that the
father's permission was not specifically a requirement in the K2 visa process.

Thanks for your help!

The requirements vary by country. I was told that the consulate assumes the child
can travel if they have a valid passport. In Santo Domingo, we need to letter in
order to clear immigration at the airport when it comes time to leave.
