Hey everyone, so I safely made it to America, and I know I'm eligible for a SSN within two weeks of entering the United States so I wanted to run some things by you lovely people here on the forum to make sure I was going about this the right way!
1) I understand I need to bring to the Social Security Office a copy of an I-94, which from what I can make of it is evidence of my legal entry to the united states, However as it's electronic do I simply supply the print out from the following website? https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html or go about it another way?
2) As well as this I supply, A SS5 SSN Application form, my valid K-1 visa and passport, as well as one other form of i.d?
Any advice or guidance on this topic is most welcome! Thanks again expats

Also, does anyone know if I'd be eligible to apply for a license once I get a SSN? Or will I have has to adjust status before getting a drivers license/ permit

And finally, Can I not apply for EAD / AP UNTIL I'm married? Or can I apply for those now?

Yes to all the SS questions, except you don't need another form of ID.
Yes, you can apply for DL once you have your SS number. Be prepared for it to only be valid until your I-94 expiration, then apply again using 1-year EAD, then again using GC, etc.
You can't apply for EAD and AP until you are married and filing AOS... those applications are to be included with the AOS package.

In our case, DMV AZ was really nice and used my husband's K-1 expiration date once the I-94 expired (even though now that he was in the USA that K-1 expiration date is useless), but it afforded him a little more time until his EAD arrive and he could use that.
DMV needs to see something with an expiration date as proof that you are legally in the USA until that date.
Oh, and my husband has never gotten a DL. This was for an AZ State ID.

Just another quick question, how do I know how long my I-94 is valid till? Is that Simply 90 days after my arrival into the united states? Because on that website link after entering my information it doesn't actually say an expiry date, just entry till July 5th, does that mean my I-94 expires then?
I've heard the local DMV are a little grumbly, buy I will take my SSN and all the relevant information and hope for the best, I'm hoping they at least let me have a permit or something

Yes, the I-94 should show a date 90 days after your arrival date.
