Hi all,
A lil bit of confusion on my part, hopefully someone can clarify for me....
ok so, myself and OH have had fiancee petition approved, I have been sent letter from US embassy London (which btw states we are now ready for your K3 paperwork, when it is a K1 we are applying for? does this matter or is it a generic letter?)
Got all my K1 application forms ready to send and my other half will be visiting for a couple of weeks from 17/11/11 so have asked for her to bring the affiditiv of support stuff with her + tax returns for 2010 etc...., is it the I-134 or the I-864 she will need to fill out and bring?? as you can all appreciate we are getting closer to the end of this first stage of the journey & we dont want to hold anything up just because of 1 form....
Many Thanks in Advance!

Sometimes you get generic letters but just carry on with your K1 paperwork. Your fiance will do the I-134. Later for adjustment of status she will do an I-864.

London will approve a K1 without a tax return. An I-134 isn't required either but is a convenient way to cover the public charge issue. A DIY affidavit is acceptable if it includes the correct verbiage. A sponsor or affidavit of support isn't even required if the beneficiary has enough cash/assets on hand.
