K1/pregnancy/TSC

Hello-
I've filed for the K1 visa, and needless to say, am going through the TSC. Looks like
it will be a hell of a wait.
To get the point, my fiancée is pregnant, and of course I want her to get here as
soon as possible. My question is if I should call/fax the center and let them know-
maybe they can get on the case sooner, but not at the expense of the applications
ahead of mine. I've read the posts about getting your congressman/woman involved, but
I think I would look like a fool since TSC conveniently changed their expected wait
times in the middle of the process. I've also considered an attorney, but I don't
think he/she would be able to help much (maybe?).
Anyway, being a government employee myself (military), I have found the INS one of
the difficult agencies to deal with- they almost seem arrogant. Oh well.
One other query- is it possible to send the cabling request to the service center
once they have the app.? Obviously I need the petition sent to the embassy quickly if
possible, but I don't want to waste my money.
Thank you, Mike

Having known a friend in the same situation -- you aren't going to get anything out
of TSC. Nothing, zilch, nada, zip. "We process peitions in the order they are filed"
is the best you are going to get. You may have some leeway with the Embassy if you
have all the necessary docs prepared and ready and do the provisional file, et al.
Make sure you have the OF-169 ready to go and fax that with the 2nd NOA to your
embassy once you have them so they get the provisional file rolling and to get you
closer to the interview date. Also, the request to cable (864? i think?) needs to be
sent with the petition.. After the fact is useless.

In the case of some embassies, Manila being one, a pregnancy can make the
whole deal take longer.

A total waste of time. They work on first come, first served, and it does not matter
if she is pregnant with quadruplets, let me assure you.
You cannot submit cabling petition after you have already submitted the original
fiance visa petition, they have to be submitted at the same time.
however, your fiance can get ready for the interview, and you may be able to get the
foreign US consulate to open an provisional file to speed things along:
