K1 Interview hold ups
Is anyone out there experencing big delays on interviews being allocated? I mailed the 'ready for interview' forms and they were received by the embassy on the 15th of March. So far I've heard nothing. Any ideas? All forms and instructions given by the packet were followed. All evidence has been collected.

Re: K1 Interview hold ups
I had the same worries, after hearing nothing for two months. Whilst folks at VJ who sent in the same time as me were getting P4s after like 2-4 weeks. So I called the premium rate embassy number, found out the embassy had lost my returned p3 paperwork. So I resent them the next day and got P4 within a week.
You might want to chase it up with the embassy.
All the best,
Nicky

Thank you to those who responded so far. I was under the impression that the phone number wasn't really able to help too much. I'll give them a go and see what they say.

They will be able to tell you if your case is ready to be scheduled an interview date. If it is, then its a case of waiting for the P4. I was told that my P3 returned papers were not received, I was given a code to email the embassy. Got a reply from the embassy a day later to say I needed to resend my P3 papers as they have been misplaced. These things happen I guess.

I've talked to the help line and they have told me that my V15 hasn't been recored as arriving, despite me having a receipt saying they signed for it on the 15th of March. So now I ahve to send it again. However, the V15 is a checklist. It's just a page of information. Is there supposed to be more to this document on the website? There's nothing on the website form to sign or fill in or tick. The form I was sent with my package was more comprehensive. All I ahve left of my original package is the medical locaion and details.

I called the helpline and have found out that the IV-15 hasn't been recored as arriving, despite me having a record that it was received. Either way another one must be sent. When I look on the Embassy website though, the IV-15 is just a worded checklist. Nothig to sign, nothing to fil in. The one I sent back, that was provided to me, included another page with tick boxes to complete. Then I sent it all back together. Is this really all they need?

The embassy wont issue a interview date without the checklist, completed. They want to know your ready with all the required paperwork.
I had the exact same problem. Even tho I did send in all the required docs and have proof of it all being received. London does have a reputation of losing documents!
I downloaded a new checklist from the embassy site, sent that in, got a P4 within a week. I also got an apology from the embassy when I went for my interview for the screw-up which was nice.
Let me know if you can't find the checklist, I have it on my hd still.
Goodluck.

Just an FYI - sometimes it's easier to call the Dept of State here in the US to get information. They seem to be more reliable than the pay to phone line through the London consulate.
The DOS number stateside is:
(202) 663-1225
Press "1"
Press "0" for a Visa Specialist

As my paranoia is now taking over, I'm not convinced that the IV-15 'document' on the Embassy website is all there is. I would assume I have to tick or sign something. Even the embassy phone person thought it was strange. If anyone has a PDF copy of the IV-15 (which I can't find online) plse send my way.
