K 3 VISA
My wife is in Pakistan, Islamabad. I applied for the K3 visa thourgh a local
independent immigration office for the fee of $900. They took care of everything and
I wanted everything to be right. 10 days later I recieved the first NOA. Is there a
way I can pay every fee to INS to make the process go faster? And how long does the
process usualy takes?

Don't plan on anything going fast here...your approval will take a minimum of 2 to 3
months and then the file will be sent to Islamabad where it will most probably go
under Administrative Review after yor wifes packet is submitted...if she is here by
March 2003 or before consider yourself very lucky (I don't want to be the bearer of
bad news but there is a massive backlog on K-3's worldwide and Admin Review now seems
to be the norm delaying the process even more)...we went thru Manila and from the
time I filed the K-3 here (Oct 12, 2001) until the time the K-3 was recently issued
was a total of 10 months...unsure why you hired an attorney...the forms are straight
forward and they have absoutely no influence to speed up the process...really a waste
of money other than the expectation that they will fill the forms out correctly but I
would suggest you look over their shoulder...best wishes...sh
