Default K-1 Visa Processing Time in the Philippines ?

Hi,

This is my second message to this effect. I probably did not describe myself very well in the
first message. The USCIS has approved my K-1 fiance visa petition for a Filipina fiancee.

Our paperwork is in very good order. I have two questions.

1. About how long will the PI approval process take ? I expect 4 months.

2. After the K-1 visa is granted how much time is permitted before the visa expires before she enters the USA ?

I ask the last question because I am working a road assignment.

Much thanks,
G

Hi G,

I did answer your second question before, as did someone else. The K-1 visa holder has 6 months in which to enter the USA. After entering the USA, they have 90 days in which to get married.

As for your 1st question, it would take someone who has recently gone through PI here on a K1 to answer that, and even then, every case is different. 4 months is probably a good ballpark figure, as long as you know it could take much longer than that as well.
