Lightbulb interviewed, awaiting card and want to move

Can anyone shed any light on my problem. Had interview in June. Told they have to check a couple of files from my visits back in 60's and that I would hear in a couple of months. Nothing so far.
We wish to move to another state but everyone keeps saying don't move until card comes. Has anyone had experience of moving at this time? If we keep both homes going does that suffice? Can I take out a driving licence in a different state or will that cause a problem?
I would be most grateful for any help. This has taken nearl 3 years so far and is wearing!

Aye, it's a pain, it's better if you can hold off on the move, less likely to have things go wrong.

But if you do move, you've got to fill in an AR-11...financial sponsor too if they are a spouse....and you should send a copy of the AR-11 and a quick explanation to your current office with a copy sent to where the new office would be.

If you have been waiting too long, contact comgressman of our office.
Afriend of mine hasn't moved and the immigration failed to send the
card and upon phone inquiry, was told that they were not sure where he
lived to send the ard. He is still waiting for it. it's been almost a
year.

You do not want to regret.
