One quick note and it might not be relevant, but I have a stepson who is a member of AA. I know from him that cough syrup and vinegar can show as alcohol in your blood tests. So if you are using a cough syrup, advise the doctor at the time of the test and be sure it is noted on your test and if possible, bring the bottle with you.
