Joint Sponsor question
As I’m living in London with my UKC husband, I’ll be using a joint sponsor. Does the joint sponsor need to send me her actual passport or original birth certificate as proof of citizenship or will a copy of one of those be ok? She doesn’t really want to send originals in the mail.

Re: Joint Sponsor question
Yep my wife who was a USC had a joint sponsor (her parents) and all we needed was a copy of their documents, not the originals.
In fact for almost everything, you send in copies then your hubby will present the originals at the interview. Good luck!

The OP will submit the I-864 and supporting docs at the interview, since they are doing DCF. I don't think he will need to show the joint sponsor's original passport or birth certificate.

Re: Joint Sponsor question
After reading Tkd's regarding his recent London interview, I wonder if the new requirement is tax transcripts only since apparently the officer did not take his hard copies for the I-864 but insisted on a tax transcript from IRS.
