Leslie,

In my case the three years taxes include years in which I was married. IF they don't have the W-2's to determine my contribution then in effect my ex-wife's income could be the basis for financial eligibility. ( I love that idea BTW)

Hi Tony,

Good point. I hadn't though of that. I've been divorced for 15 years. LOL.

You can love the idea but it ain't going to be happening. If your tax return (transcript or your photocopy before filing) shows you married joint, then you have to prove your portion of the monies declared for tax purposes. If you are self-employed and don't have the required 10?? then you need the ex-wife's W-2 so her portion of the monies is deducted and yours would be the balance.

You want a new wife then only your income will be the basis for her financial sponsorship.

I know that. That is the reason that I suggested that you may want the full copy rather that the transcript. It is a rather humorous prospect though.
