Hi all,
Is there a link for information on process for above. (specific to someone
waiting for entry?)
Interview in Montreal,.. when do you get the Visa? Can I, with an IR-1
visa, commute to a job between NY and Ontario?
How long is a medical good for?
Thank you
Laura

Click on 130/DCF abroad ... you can read interview experiences and a synposis of the process for Montreal there.
If you pass the interview, you will be given the brown envelope and visa but it will not be activated until the first time you cross the US border.
The IR-1 is a permanent resident and yes, you are free to travel between the two countries. But you will have to eventually make the US your home in order to keep that residency
