Did you try the needle/thread test first? Have hubby do it over your belly and then compare the findings with what the ultrasound shows and see if it is a valid folks tale test.

its gonna be a little boy
now we need to think of a name, either Keith, after babys daddy, or Barry after my dad (babys granddaddy).
My hubby surprisingly seems not keen on naming the baby after himself, he says he doesnt like the name Keith
but hes not sure.
Id like to give the baby a name thats meaningful, so I like Barry a fair bit, I think it'd mean a lot to my dad too, plus its my parents and in-laws first grandchild (and great grandchild for hubbys grandma)
anyone else have any name suggestions?

Give Bub his own identity, maybe use Keith or Barry as a middle name. Just a suggestion

Names are tricky. Someone several generations ago named a son after his father in our family and now if we ever have a boy we'll have to decide whether he should be the 5th in line with the same first name or if we should break the trend. 
But naming your baby after your dad should be okay, especially if it would mean a lot to the two of you.
Keep us posted on how things are going!!

Well hubby was named Keith Jr after his dad....but he doesnt know his dad (from about the age of 3 onwards) and he says theres no special meaning to the name because of that. Im worried thats what his mum and grandma will expect the baby to be called though because they've already started saying a baby keith is on the way...dont worry we'll make the end decision. im stubborn!
Congrats on finding out you are having a boy!!
Boys are special, our two are our pride and joyFIL is called James..hubby is Jason, his parents expected us to use a similar name, but we decided on Nathan and Matthew...we used James as a middle name for the 2nd one though. It's you guys that need to be happy with your childs name, just try and keep in mind what his 'friends' will call him
We didn't and now we have a 'nat' and a 'mat'
