Morning All
My husband has the date for his Visa Interview (yay!!)
Friday 4th October - 10am
I just want to do a quick checklist to ensure I have everything ready
His appointment letter
His passport - and photocopy
Full Birth cert - and photocopy
Our marriage cert - and photocopy
UK police cert - and photocopy
2 x recent photos
Affidavit of support from me, along with:
A letter and some proof of domicile for the USA
Copies of my tax returns for the last 3 years stamped received from the IRS
Affidavit from his Uncle with all supporting docs required
Have I missed anything?
Thanks everyone

Carry photocopies of everything, just in case they want one for the file. It costs little and can really help.

Congrats on getting an interview date!!
Are you planning on bringing any evidence of your relationship? (Personal photos, that sort of thing)?

Hmmm I wasn't planning on it... We're married, live together, we're from the same village, our families know eachother, we've known eachother since we were little - didn't think they would question it unless we were maybe from different parts of the world etc.

Do I need this?

Well given that, it certainly doesn't *sound* like you do
Was just asking because some people include that sort of stuff on their list.
I'm definitely NOT an expert on these matters by any means, my husband and I don't even have an interview date yet!

According to http://london.usembassy.gov/application_documents.html - you'll also want to provide your own birth certificate:
"Birth Certificate: Obtain the original, or certified copy, of the birth record of each family member (yourself, your spouse, and all unmarried children under the age of 21, even if they are not immigrating with you. If the children are deceased, so state giving year of death)."

Make sure he has a credit card with him to the interview. Good luck.

I signed a couple of the forms, filled my fiancées name in and pushed them back under. A few checks over the paperwork and she said 'congratulations your application has been accepted!'
I said 'thank you very much, I have all this supporting evidence here too' and she said with a story like she just heard I didn't need it. All those photos, receipts, addressed letters, boarding passes etc just not needed.
My guess is if, the two of you have been living together for some time and he talks his head off about your lives together then like me he won't need the supporting evidence.
I guess they can spot an honest truthful story a mile off.

If there is already supporting evidence gathered then yes, take it with him but by my experience I wouldn't worry about not having enough.
BTW.. I went last Thursday 19th and I got an email at 13.00 today to say the passport was 'Booked for collection from collection point'
I paid with debit card not credit card.

This is all very good people and very helpful, thank you.
I've taken one piece of paper with several photographs with dates and locations including holidays, engagement, wedding, xmas's etc. Just to be safe.
Everything we have paperwork wise etc has our address on there where we have lived together for the last 2 years
Im hoping, he's all set for it now! I cant wait!

I am sure he will be fine. I set off at 02.30 to get there early.
My appointment was for 09.30 but I was there for 07.00 and remember nothing electronic can be taken in with you.
I parked up in St. George St. near the cafe, had a coffee and I asked nicely and left my car key with the staff!
I walked down Brook St to the Embassy and joined the queue and there were about a dozen people in front of me and the girl checking did not seem bothered I was 90 mins early.
