ok another question about what's coming.....

I've gathered everything I can, together in a folder. When you're called to the first window to hand over your documents and copies, is that when you will be asked to show proof of finances and intent to re-establish domicile evidence? Or does that come later?

I'm just wondering when those two issues will arise, because the financial one will probably be the toughie

The first person (the clerk) might ask you to hand over the documents, but it is the second person (the ConOff) who will ask you questions about it.

I've written a brief summary of how much money there is and where it's been.

I guess I can hand that over to the clerk too, but it would be me offering it rather than the clerk asking for it perhaps? I don't know how many people write such a summary....

Don't offer anything more than what is asked for... you'll just confuse the person. Save it for the actual interview.

If you want it to be taken into account do not treat it as an independent document, make it an integral part of the I-864 package.

How do I do that? Should I staple with the I864 as an extra sheet, and mention it somehow on the I864?

The I-864 requires supporting documents, including in your case documentation of the cash assets. How are you attaching that?

Yes, you could - should - make a notation in an appropriate place on the I-864 to 'See Attachment X'.

Thanks for the wake up call. I just spent an hour adding the documents as attachments.

Had I not done so, I doubt the interview would go smoothly
