Hi, just popping in to say that my husband got his packet 3 today and his interview date is May 20th. I know there's a handful of us that went through the RFE stuff and are at about the same time frames, so thought I'd add our update.
Slow going, but at least it's going.....

I-129F/K3 Visa timeline:

Receipt for I-130 - 9/5/03
NOA1 - 9/19/03
RFE - 12/22/03 (copies of G325, and only english translation of marriage cert., they requested originals of all)
NBC rec'd requested info 1/15/04 (a bit of a lag on my part because I was in Morocco from 12/29 - 1/8, and need spouses original signature anyway!)
NOA2 - 3/23/04 (finally!! 69 days after RFE)
Letter from NVC - 4/7/04

I'm guessing from your comments then that packet 3 isn't the thing that I
just received then containing a check list, the K1 application forms and
Affidavit of Support forms etc? I've been referring to it as packet 3, but
I guess that's not correct as won't get an interview date until I complete
the forms and send them off.

Different countries have different ways of doing things.
Morocco, packet 3 arrives with interview date already scheduled and you simply have to bring everything with you to the interview (I think maybe you have to mail in 1 form beforehand). In other countries you have to send everything in and then you get an interview date.
So, yes, you do have packet 3, just not Moroccan-style.
