Interim EAD Cleveland
Just an FYI, I got an interim EAD in Cleveland yesterday, be prepared
to be there the entire day. I was there at 8am and submitted my
paperwork at 8:20am. I did not get my card until 2pm. They operate
on a seemingly random process of dooling out the cards. Some people
got there cards within an hour or two, while others waited 6 or more
hours. It did not seem to matter what time you came in.

When did you apply fo EAD initially? Was it 90 days beofre or you just applied yesterday ? Was it a renewal EAD.
I have job offer on hand but cannot join unitll these ppl issue me EAD. employer is only ready to wait untill first week of march.

02/04/2004 mailed I-130, I-485, I-765 to celveland USCIS
02/05/2004 received return receipt from post office
02/10/2004 Visited BCIS, cleveland. They received my appplication and put in system on 02/06/2004. Also they gave me my 8 digit A# from I-130. They said they put my check received recipts in mail on 02/10/2004

When did you apply fo EAD initially? Was it 90 days beofre or you just applied yesterday ? Was it a renewal EAD.
I have job offer on hand but cannot join unitll these ppl issue me EAD. employer is only ready to wait untill first week of march.

02/05/2004 received return receipt from post office
02/10/2004 Visited BCIS, cleveland. They received my appplication and put in system on 02/06/2004. Also they gave me my 8 digit A# from I-130. They said they put my check received recipts in mail on 02/10/2004

My receipt was dated Nov 14, 2003. It was a renewal EAD. Yes, I
waited until after 90 days had passed before requesting the interim.

I hope you get your EAD, but by the way they are moving like molasses,
I doubt you will get it on time. Last year I had some problems with
my paperwork and it got sent back, my EAD ended up expiring and my
company made me quit my job until I got a new EAD, so I was out of
work for 3 months! I begged the BCIS to give me an interim, I even
contacted my senator, but no luck, I had to wait the entire 90 day
period before my EAD finally arrived.
