The INS isn't abolished, it may be divided in half. Paperwork for one division, law
enforcement in the other. So far only the House has voted - the Senate still has to
vote and the President would have to sign it into law (all of which will mostly
happen). If you want to learn more about it, there is a link right on the INS

The question will be if they will still call it the INS, or with they give it
a new name.

They could still call the paperwork side the Immigration and Naturalization Service -
the enforcement side would be the Border Patrol? Naw - that would be too easy. I sure
some congressional committee is working on some "really cool" new names! Take

I vote for Missing Link for the paperwork department and Weakest Link for the enforcement.
