Sponsoring you for what? What is your situation? What is theirs?

Not to be tooooo facetious, but if your sponsor withdraws the application, you
have no sponsor...

You have another thread going on this board.

It seems that this isn't an employment based sponsorship, but you're having a relationship with an English guy who is married to an American lady but he hasn't received his Green Card yet....he must have only been wed a relatively short time ago.

I guess his wife has got wind of her husband's (adulterous?) relationship and is threatening to pull the plug on his GC application? To be honest, I wouldn't blame her.

It's not worth messing around with married men. To quote the late Sir James Goldsmith (father of Jemima who is married to cricketer Imran Khan; "When one marries ones mistress it immediately creates a job vacancy".

So, you might end up with this guy but will you ever be able to trust him not to eventually cheat on *you*? He sounds like a rat, but then again I don't have much sympathy for you either - have you ever considered his wife's feelings? I just hope that they don't have kids, and don't believe it for a minute if he says that they never sleep together, that's what all married men having affairs say! Why don't you find a single guy, there are plenty of them around.

(I've just spent the afternoon consoling my girlfriend whose husband is cheating on her).

I have a friend who is married to a us citizen she has threatened to
withdraw her sponsorship for him because she thinks he is cheating on
her. He is at the phase of his green card now with the next one he will
have permanent residency but not citizenship (is that right?) good for
ten years, and then was told he can go through divorce
proceedings.....anyway it's in the process now, she has phoned INS and
they called her back and there is going to be an appointment for he and
her to go but he doesn't know when yet, she said she is going to do this
unless he tells her the truth. He has told her. But if she withdraws
what can he do? Can he get another sponsor and stay in the US?
Any help or information is greatly appreciated. Does anyone know how
long it takes to get the permanent residency card?? good for 10
years???

well that is your opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs.....I know
more about him than you, so you don't have any right saying he is
sleeping with her or not, you dont' know the WHOLE situation as I do.

HE DOES HAVE HIS GREEN CARD, the one that has a two year expiration, and
now is in the process to get permanent residency. and they have been
married almost 4 years.
