i751 removal of conditions - nebraska, need some advice
Hi everybody. I have been looking around, but could not find any
answers to my questions, so I am hoping that some of you might have an
idea about things.
I have to send the I751 in about 25 days. My wife and I are having
some problems and we are trying to sort things out, so I am thinking
of moving to an apartment just across the street from where we live
now. My wife has a friend that lives there and that friend would move
were we live now. We have been living here for the last 3 years. We
plan on changing the lease, so that she and her friend show up on the
lease where we live, and i show up on the lease at the other
apartment, because we don't want to get into any trouble with the
landlords. If we mail the i751 form and include the lease from this
year that shows me and her on it, but I move right after sending the
form (and therefore the lease would not be valid anymore because it
shows August 2002 to August 2003), can we get into any trouble with
the ins?
I also plan on including about 4 statements from people that know us,
including from her parents, pictures, joint health insurance, joint
car titles & insurace for the cars, joint credit card account, joint
tax returns from the last 3 years (including from last year), and the
leases from the last 2 years on which both of us are listed.
If we have to go for an interview, could the ins guy create problems
because I moved (or because I moved right after sending the form)? We
don't plan on getting divorced, we are just trying to sort things out.
But you never know what might happen...
Thanks for helping.

There wouldn't be a problem if you are approved without an interview.. and they may never want to look at your leases, even if you aren't. But there is still a fairly big if.........
Personally, I would have my application and all supporting documents absolutely watertight. Just my 2 cents, however.

It is not required to send the apartment lease. Why not send enough other
proof of living together.
