Smile I got the visa! K1 embassy questions

I wanted to share my experience at the embassy for my K1 visa...

The whole process took me about 1 hour 45 including wait times.

The questions I got asked under oath were:
-Where did you meet your Fiance, tell me more of your story?
- Tell me what you like about your Fiance?
-What does he do for work?
-Where does he work?
-What kind of place does he live in?
-Where will you live once you are married?
-Do you intend to work?
-What job will you do?
-When did you last see your Fiance?
-Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

They didn't ask to see the evidence file but I was glad that I had it as a back-up .
A funny mishap happened when they gave me the obligatory chest x-rays CD back which are needed to take through immigration to show them with my paperwork and I luckily noticed I had been given someone called Colin's I reminded the clerk I was not Colin....Glad I was on the ball at least!! -it was early and maybe he hadn't had his coffee yet..

Good luck!

The evidence file was to show that we had a bona fide relationship, we probably went a bit over the top but I thought it was good to be prepared. I was a bit annoyed that they didn't ask to see it as it took weeks to prepare!

This is what we included:
-Evidence of visits:eg, flight stubs, e-tickets, photos of us together and together with family/friends
-Evidence of correspondence: selection of emails, skype history, copies of birthday cards, letters etc
-Evidence of engagement/intent to marry: receipt for the engagement ring, receipt from wedding venue for booking, quotes from caterers, engagement cards, wedding invitation/engagement announcement

I hope this helps, from what I have seen and my experience they don't seem to ask for it.

Good luck
