Default I-864 Part 3 List Children

Hi All,
I am getting ready to send the I-864 to NVC. (CR-1) Visa.
On I-864 part 3, where it says "LIST ANY SPOUSE/CHILDREN IMMIGRATING
WITH THE IMMIGRANT NAMED ABOVE"

We want to bring our Son also.
NVC says not to put his name in that section or it will be returned
for correction. He was 16 years old when we got married.
I understand that He needs an I-130 and 325a,and aa I-864 for his self
CR2 Visa.
It clearly states to put the name there. Was the information I
recieved correct.?
I just want to get it right.

THANKS,
Larry

Did NVC give a reason as the question seems fairly straightforward and I
would have not answered it the way they suggested?
How old is he now?

Hi,
He is 17 years old now.The reason that they gave me was that He is not
aloud to come here on Her visa. I can understand that.I know that he
needs a CR-2 visa.
I agree. That question seems straight forward.
They just said that I must file am I-130 and G325a and then I will
recieve a Bar Code letter and an I-864 Form for him when it is
approved.

I will call again tomorrow and ask what is that section really for.
Thanks,
Larry

But, wouldn't that be true for any child of someone filing I-864.
What would the purpose of the question be? He would still need his own
I-864, but that isn't what the question implies.

mtravelkay,

I called them today and they told me not to put my son's name there.
That is for special cases. An example would be;whole familys,or
brothers and sisters comming here with the immigrant.
They said that takes about 12 years.!!!

Well,I am ready to send it off tomorrow.
Thanks,
Larry
