Default i-864 evidence query

Does anyone happen to know what evidence is being sought in form i-864 when responding to the below question? My spouse falls below the required threshold for one year and so no IRS form was returned

"I was not required to file a Federal income tax return
as my income was below the IRS required level and I
have attached evidence to support this."

If she was unemployed and didn't work at all, she can include a simple note to that effect. If she had income but it was below the IRS threshold for filing, she should still have received a W-2 for US-based income, or a P60 (? I think that's right) if it's UK-based income. Either/both of those would provide the proof.

Thanks for the response.

Would you require two P60s given the tax years aren't aligned?

I don't know for sure, but that would seem reasonable. The US tax year runs from January 1 to December 31.

I didn't know one had to include evidence. I thought just the statement was enough.
