my wife came on k3 visa on march 12th,i went to ins office in houston,they gave
me the forms I-765 and I-485 and told me to bring all the papers,i am confused
now since i called the ins k3 hel line and someone there told me i need to send
my I-765 to chicago and i cant apply I-485 TILL HER i-130 gets approved.
now what documents do i have to send it along with I-765 to chicago,please
someone help me

check with your local service center. some cetner dont allow u to apply for AOS while 130 is not yet approved. some do. so jsut call and find out if u cna apply the 485.
however, u can mail the work permit thing to chicago regardless. it takes about 3 months.

You need to send:

1). Copy of your wife's passport
2). Copy of the K3 Visa
3). I-765 filled & signed
4). Check for $ 120
5). Two pictures with right ear visible ( see instructions for that in the form)

And on question number 16 fill category as (A)(9) and send it to Chicago...(see address for Chicago on the form)

You also need a copy (front and back) of the I-94.
All the instructions are pretty clear in the I-765 form, and will tell you everything you need as a K3 applicant.
