I-751 Time-frames
#1
I'll be filing mine this month and I am wondering what to expect? Those of you that have been through this recently might be aware of how long it takes to get it. I understand that, as soon as you file, you get a year extension on your conditional green card, but how long does it take until the permanent one arrives? Also, I'm under the impression that some people are called for interviews, if this is the case, do they call couples or just the person applying for permanent residency? And what is the biometrics test all about?
I hope I didn't make my post too confusing with all my questions
, thanks in advance for your help...

As for how long it takes, it can take as little as 3 or 4 months, or as long as over a year. The good news is you can still apply for citizenship whenever you qualify, regardless of whether your I-751 is adjudicated yet or not.
Biometrics is just fingerprinting.
Best Wishes,
Rene

I filed in June 2007 (waiver petition) but still waiting.

Mine took 11-months from the VSC. Just be sure to keep the USCIS up to date if you move in that time. I actually updated my case address on-line, and my 10-yr greencard arrived at my new address just fine. Got it just a couple of weeks ago.
The wait sucks, but the process itself is pretty painless.

I'm still waiting on mine, it'll be a year in a month or two.
Getting called in for the biometrics was pretty quick, a couple months.

No. It's one of those 'how long is a piece of string' questions.
Anyway, I'm not sure why you're put out. You remain a PR and you can file for citizenship 90 days minus the date of your PR - irrespective of whether you conditions have been removed by then.
