I-751 Questions. Help?

I am filing my I-751 now to Nebraska. I am supposed to file before Oct 24th. The
processing time I know is 120-150 days so my question is, what happens if my
petition to remove conditions isnt approved before the green card expires? I'm still
married to my husband and everythings fine legally, but can I still work or leave
the country & return?
