Default Am misunderstood !

Hey Chaps and Chapesses,

I just noticed some dot things under by name and when moused over they suggest "britinatl is nice" or something.

Who on earth accused me of being "Nice" ?

Am flattered though and again I thank y'all ( even write redneck these days ) - ye do a grand job ( thats Yorkshire though ) - and whatever MY outcome, I hope I will have learned enough to contribute BACK here.

To be precise, y'all are writing Appalachian, not redneck.

Default Just one last thought ...

Thanks for Everything folks and I am still considering the N-400 but which it seems would depend on me NOT having been 'Out of Status' for the past few years - which I do not know.

Seems to me that the rules allow the filing of a 751 Waiver at any time after divorce and before removal procedings. I do not think I have been in that process since I have basically stayed on one spot waving "I am here please talk to me" to the INS for 4 years and heard nothing. Has been a month since I was physically in ATL USCIS office and no MIBs beating my door down.

Therefore, does anyone know why I should not try the Waiver even at this late stage ?

Further - any thoughts on doing 751 Waiver AND N-400 as a belt and braces approach ?

Happy Migrating !

Default PS "File Closed"

Might be off subject here but maybe worth some words from anybody in the know ....

Above, Meauxna mentioned it 'odd' that I was told my case ( file ) was 'closed' ( in 2003 ). In doing more research on the web, it seems USCIS does 'administratively close' files at times.

Anybody know what that means ? Is it just that maybe not having had a response they expect, they just close it up and say "Forget it for now" ?

Regards

Default Re: PS "File Closed"

If a case is inactive and sitting in the district office and/or the service center it is sent to the storage unit in Missouri.
