Default I-751-Any approval from Vermont?

Did anybody receive approval to remove conditional status from Vermont lately?

When did you apply? I mailed my wife's application in March 2005, and
I'm still waiting for a response. They're slow as hell. It's been
stuck on January 2005 for two months now.

I applied in the beginning of February. You are right that they are VERY slow compare to other offices. For instance, California is processing appl. as of May 1. Are they really slow or they have not updated the web site? I have been keep trucking too. And it is been since April. Well, let's hope.

I think it's unfair that there are such disparities in processing times
among the service centers. Why is California faster than everyone
else? It should be the same for everybody.

The US is no socialist country, for "the same bad service for
everybody" go to the communist past - or to the graveyard.
That doesn't mean congress shouldn't punish some very lame processing
centers and reward the fast ones. Any ideas of cheap incentives for
fast processing?

Regards,

Peter

I filed in Jan 2005 (Vermont) to remove condition. I was approved in May and got my passport stamped (I-551) at Newark in June. No 2nd interview was needed for approval.

Congratulations!
Was the Vermont and Nebraska service center as a point to contact listed on your notice? Did you filed in beginning or end January 2005?

That is correct. I got a letter from Vermont giving Nebraska as the place to contact. In fact that got me worried, because, Nebraska is slow and I was prepared to wait out a year or so. Fortunately things worked out ok. I've been very lucky with VSC and the Newark Office.

I filed end of Jan 2005. I don't know the exact date. It was 3 weeks before the expiry date on the conditional card.

I was worried as well when they published the address of the Nebraska
Service Center instead of Vermont's; and the processing times seem to
be correct as well.
