Default I-134 question

Hello everyone!

As some of you will be aware from my other threads, my London interview for a K1 visa is in a couple of weeks. I'm just getting to the stage of worrying if I've done something wrong and double checking everything and I have a question about the I-134.

I gather that the requirement is to demonstrate adequate support/funds, the embassy website says "The I-134 is a good way to do this" but doesn't actually say it's required. Anyway, that observation aside,my fiancée's mother has filled in an I-134 and provided me with evidence. My fiancée has practically no income as she's just finished college so hasn't filled anything out. I notice from discussion of the I-864 needed at the permanent residence stage (coming up soon ) my fiancée has to fill that out as well as her mother, assuming she's still a joint sponsor.

Is the I-134 filled out by my mother-in-law to be adequate for the London interview I should I get my fiancée to mail me something immediately?

My layman's opinion is that you *should* be OK with just MIL's I-134 and evidence, BUT, if you want to be on the safe side, you should also get one from your fiancee. That way the ConOff can see why your fiancee doesn't qualify, and will then look at MIL's.
