I-134 documentation question
Hi all....
Regarding the I-134 Affadavit of Support.
I have read here and there that people send in the prior year tax returns with this form when they send it to the fiance in the foreign country for the interview.
However, as I am reading the actual paperwork/instructions attached to the I-134, it states that only if you are self employed do you need to attach the tax returns.
From my understanding, I need a letter from my bank and a letter from my employer and that ought to be sufficient.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks so much.
Peace & Sunshine,
~Kristine

Absolutely correct on all I sent my fiance some paycheck stubs, as well. You can send your last tax return, if you like, for further support documentation, but it's not necessary. Good luck!

Hi Kristine!
I sent the last 3 years tax returns with Philipp to the interview. I knew Frankfurt would not need them, but I just wanted to be on the safe side "just in case". Some consulates will require them even though the I-134 instructions don't mention it, so I would email them or have Said call them just to be sure.
I hope all is well
