I-130 Sibling Category Approval Waiting Times
hi
My sister in the US lodged an I-130 petition for me Dec 2002 in Vermont. This week I got an approval notification (I-797). I believe I've got a massive waiting time now to receive my immigration number. Can anyone please give me an approx time when I might actually receive my immigration number? I know that Vermont is now processing 1999 times. Any info much appreciated.... also I would love to hear from anyone in a similar situation.

Fourth : Brothers and Sisters of Adult Citizens: 65,000, plus any numbers not required by first three preferences.
4th 15 DEC 1993
So, Department of State is now issuing visas to those who submitted their petitions before December 15, 1993. So, you have another 10 years to wait.

Use your time wisely and save, save, save. Actually although it seems like a long wait ... from personal experience it all seemed to go very quickly indeed.
