I-130 sent back
Hi, I just got a returned I-130 application. Just a refresher- I am
an American citizen living in England on a temporary spouse visa with
my British husband. We want to move to America sometime this year.
So- I sent our application off to the USCIS in Nebraska (as I am only
a temporary resident in England), and I found it sent back in my post
box today! The cover letter from the Department of Homeland Security
says that I should file our application abroad. So, I'm hoping that
this is a positive development for our case. Has anyone else had the
same situation? Should I just pass the whole batch of documents on to
the embassy in London now? Thanks in advance for you help!

That would be USCIS's office in London.
Note that the embassy/consulate (i.e. Department of State) can no
longer accept I-130s. It will have to go to USCIS's office (i.e.
Homeland Security) (yep, I know to make things even more confusing,
they are located within the wall of the embassy it seems).

If I were you, I would include a copy of the letter you got so that
the London office doesn't tell you to file in the US.

... or you may file in the US using a US address.
Maybe what caused the form to be returned was the use of a UK address

But I had to list my current address and work place, and both are in
England.

I'll send it off to the USCIS I-130 American Embassy address on the
website then. I'll definitely include the copy of the letter on top
of my application! They can't reject us too, can they??

What about listing a family member's address as your own ?
I have to agree that you seem to fall within a nonsensical red tape
case
