I-130 processing (parents) at TSC
Hi,
I have filed I-130 for my parent. It has been 7 months, and according to
processing times of BCIS, Texas service center is processing cases
from July 2001. I thought it takes about 9 months.
If anyone has files I-130 for a parent, please, let me know how long did
the whole process take/or approval. Like I said,mine i s processed at
TSC.
Please, give me an idea how long do I have to wait.
regards,

Sorry, Ellen. I-130s for immediate relatives are taking over 2 and one half
years at the USCIS Texas Service Center. Those processing date charts are
pretty accurate.
If your parent will use consular immigrant visa processing, it will probably
take about six months beyond the I-130 approval for your parent to obtain an
immigrant visa and enter the U.S. as a permanent resident.
I suggest that you call and write to your Congressperson. Even if nothing
can be done about the processing times, your Congressperson can bring
attention to your plight in Congress.
