Helloooo people! Just wanted to share my excitement and share the good news that our I-130 petition for an eventual CR-1 (which will now be IR-1) has been approved after 2 years, 2 months and 22 days! We have no idea why we had to be one of the lucky ones that had to be outside the normal processing time, but here we are. We got congresspersons involved to no avail, and sent multiple inquiries that resulted in the same copy pasted response. And magically one day after the election, we got our approval!

Now we wait for our NVC case number. I stopped checking immigration forums a while ago as it was getting too depressing, does anyone have any idea if the NVC stage has been affected by the Covid/lockdown situation? I know interviews at London are backlogged, but we're not close to that step yet so not going to worry about it too much for now.

Glad to hear back from you. Have actually been thinking of you and how your case was going. One step done. Only a few more to go. Perhaps another 6 months or so.
