I-129F off to TSC (for the second time and last)

I-129F off to TSC (for the second time and last)
Okay folks... for the people following the Texas Service Center timelines, I just sent my petition in (we stopped the first one at the post office the same day it went out, long story...)
For those that are sending theirs to TSC, here is what we sent in:
Money Order for $110 for the petition
Cover letter describing contents
The I-129F not notarized but signed at the bottom downloaded off the internet
Attachment sheet to the I-129 F with extra questions and answers regarding are relationship we found on the net
One letter of intent from each of us, not notarized
(his was translated and certified)
My divorce decree
His divorce decree translated and certified (No, I wasn't able to certify my own, but I did translate it and it was fine)
2 Color 3/4 profile Photos of myself
2 Color 3/4 profile Photos of Him
My birth certificate
His birth certificate translated and certified (same deal)
My G-325A (duplicate , 4 pages)
My G-325A (ditto)
A FC-029 form stating that all documents are accurate copies of the originals
DS-1858 Sponsorship Liability Form stating that I will make sure he will not become a public charge
Evidence of the relationship (emails, photos from the digital camera, photocopies of: plane tickets, visa stamps, , receipts from restaurants, movie stubs, credit card we used to buy stuff in Argentina when I went both times
No, we didn't send in the I-824. Too many people told us it was a waste of money and the time frame they gave usfor faxing the approval was one month, which is the same amount of time TSC takes to mail the physical petition apparently. I'd rather keep the $140 than donate it to Texas.
We sent tha envelope priority mail with a Delivery Confirmation Receipt Notice for a grand total of $5.50 from Miami to the Texas PO box and they should be receiving it by no later than Nov. 7. With the receipt number the post office gives you you can check the internet to see exactly when it is received.
I'll update as things happens. We had the file reviewed by a friend and the lawyer said it was complete.
People dealing with TSC feel free to post your timelines. It helps all of us deal with the anxiety.
Regards,
Ange

My fiance and I are currently waiting for our 2nd NOA. Our first was 09/18/02. It seems like a long time to me, but if TSC count in business days, it's just a measly 35 days to them. I've read some good reports about the speed they work at though, so here's hoping!!!! Between that and London being fairly good too, maybe if I wish hard enough, I'll be with Corey by Christmas.

I sure do hope that is true. I am working withthe Buenos Aires consulate and as long as they see that people have thir info together they seem to be pretty good about the whole deal. I've learned the hard way though.
I doubt I'll be with Oscar by Christmas, but here's hoping at least one of us is. I'm rooting for you kate!

Kate, I just noticed something: Did your fiance petition get caught inthat 9/11/2002 period ? I read something about them checking 9/30/02 petitions then going back to reviewing the 9/11/2002 but noone ever explained what happened. Does anyone know where they are at right now with the petitions???

I'm not sure what's happening there either. I'm hoping we made it in the nick of time before they switched dates on us!!!

Re: I-129F off to TSC (for the second time and last)
Hi Ange,
Update already on my case, so things are definitely moving, in my
opinion, I checked my checking account this morning and sure enough,
my checks have been cashed and I was able to get the receipt number off the
I129F check. Went to INS online status web-site, punched in the
number and sure enough, it shows up out there as a pending I129F. We are
definitely on our way now !!!! Just called Natasha to tell her and she's
really happy !! Have a wonderful day.

Okay guys, next update is that the Consulate in Buenos Aires has just confirmed they have opened a provisional file for my fiance, and we have a case number!!!!!! I printed and framed the email for God's sake. WE ARE ECSTATIC! Buenos Aires took Part 1 of the DS-230, and has incredibly begun their internal investigations based just on what I sent and their chat with my fiance last month. (The fact we email them once a week probably helped too!)
So so far the timeline is like this:
Nov 5th petition mailed to TSC
Nov 6th Confirmation of Provisional file opened in Buenos Aires by CG
More to come (we hope)

Re: I-129F off to TSC (for the second time and last)
No problem at all Ange. Sounds like you're moving along also. I'm really
glad for you guys. Here's my timeline:
10/24 - mailed package to TSC
10/28 - package received at TSC mail room
10/31 - 1st NOA date
That's it so far. Of course I haven't seen the 1st NOA yet but I know how
the dates/numbers look on my processed checks since this is, unfortunately,
not my first time doing this. I'm now an old pro :-). Emphasis on the old
part :-).
Of course, as things progress I will gladly let you and anyone else know.
Have a great evening and keep smilin'.....you and Oscar will be together
before you know it. Hope your kiddos and mom are doing well.
All the best,
Steve

glad for you guys.
All the best,
Steve

Re: I-129F off to TSC (for the second time and last)
Today I'm going to be checking the net to confirm they received the package.
If you got your check back then you have your receipt number stamped on the back. Much easier than a money order (that's what I sent in since I had it all filled out since BEFORE I was advised they write the number for the case on the back. Sometimes ignorance is NOT bliss...
Big hug to Natasha and your daughter. Hopefully we'll both have good news soon.
