Katy, while the job market here is not good at the present, take heart on the over 50 issue. My DH was 55 when he arrived here and was able to get a job 3 weeks after getting his EAD. Flexibility may be a help also- after spending 30 years working in shipping in the UK (oceanborne) , his job here is based on the other end of his experience. He's making more than what he did in the UK, but of course the vacations/holidays are not comparable.

Thanks Cindy .. thats really a lift to him .. he's a bit bummed right now but thinks things will improve now that we done the hardest part ... Made the decision to move!!
