Default How long have you been waiting?

Hi Everyone:

I want to start a new thread where people can post the amount of time they had been waiting to hear from BCIS after a successful interview because of reasons like background check etc.
To start with I'll post my timing:

Interview was on 23rd May, 2003 in Santa Ana, CA, still waiting.

Cheers,
Ben

Our interview was November 19th 2002.

Still waiting. One year and 2 months later.

I did however, recently get a form asking me to go for fingerprints
again (which were taken about 18 months ago the first time).

Hi,

I was verbally approved by honorable Judge last Dec '03 in San Diego.
I'm still waiting for the letter of notification from INS to get my
passport stamp. I am getting worried though 8-(.

What i don't get is having your prints taken multiple times. What do the USCIS clowns think will happen to them, that i can get a fingerprint transplant or something??????

Ben,
Interviwed (in Boston) on July 16 2003
Approved on October 15 2003
Approval letter sent on December 23 2003
GC received on December 29 2003 with "Resident since: 10/15/03"

I was not given the "background check" reason at my interview for
failure to get the stamp at the conclusion of the interview. I was
given "file still in Vermont" as the reason.
I hope this helps.

I didn't get this, either. But it does make sense. The f/p results are only good for 1 yr, but what if you comitted a crime in that last year and they took your prints when you got arrested? That would then show up on the "new" f/p test.

Yes you have a point, but why do they need to make it expire in one year, does the fingerprint change after every one year?? They don't ask the citizens or permanent residents to have their fingerprints taken every year. Do they think all the crimes are comitted by the people those who applied for green card?????
