Hi Everyone:
I want to start a new thread where people can post the amount of time they had been waiting to hear from BCIS after a successful interview because of reasons like background check etc.
To start with I'll post my timing:
Interview was on 23rd May, 2003 in Santa Ana, CA, still waiting.
Cheers,
Ben

Our interview was November 19th 2002.
Still waiting. One year and 2 months later.
I did however, recently get a form asking me to go for fingerprints
again (which were taken about 18 months ago the first time).

Hi,
I was verbally approved by honorable Judge last Dec '03 in San Diego.
I'm still waiting for the letter of notification from INS to get my
passport stamp. I am getting worried though 8-(.

Ben,
Interviwed (in Boston) on July 16 2003
Approved on October 15 2003
Approval letter sent on December 23 2003
GC received on December 29 2003 with "Resident since: 10/15/03"
I was not given the "background check" reason at my interview for
failure to get the stamp at the conclusion of the interview. I was
given "file still in Vermont" as the reason.
I hope this helps.

S K Ghori [email protected] http://www.vex.net/~skg/
**NOTE**
I have lived in nine different countries. Dual Pakistani and Canadian
citizen, 2 years and 6 months away from qualifying to apply for US
citizenship.

I didn't get this, either. But it does make sense. The f/p results are only good for 1 yr, but what if you comitted a crime in that last year and they took your prints when you got arrested? That would then show up on the "new" f/p test.![Wink](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
