how long does it take to get an interview date at the Vancouver Consulate?

how long does it take to get an interview date at the Vancouver Consulate?
Does anyone know how long it takes to get an interview date at the Vancouver consulate??? i sent my k1 papers back in may 19, 2003?? and i have no idea how long to even guess at when to expect an interview..obviously the sooner the better! Thanks for any feedback on this its driving me crazy..and no matter how much i look online seems i cant find anything!

I hope not much longer. My fiance and I are ahead of you by a week. We faxed our information back to them on May 12. Don't forget that Victoria Day was on Monday, so they were probably closed for that. And Memorial Day is tomorrow. So, they will probably be closed for that as well. Also, this is a common time for people to take vacations. Perhaps they are understaffed a bit right now.
Anyway, if it's of any comfort, you're not alone. Here's a couple other posts around here that are complaining about slow interview response times:

My fiance' and I are dealing with the Vancouver Consulate as well. He faxed
his checklist back to them on Thursday, May 15th. When he went into the
city for his medical exam, on May 21st, he went to the Consulate to verify
that they had received his fax... and to see if his interview date had been
set. When he got there, he was told that they had NOT received his fax.
Luckily he had his checklist with him, so he turned it in to them at that
time... and was given an interview date of July 16th. That TOTALLY bummed
us, because it SEEMED that most Vancouver interviews were being scheduled
for 3-4 weeks after the checklist was submitted... not 8 weeks, like we have
to wait.
You can't call the Vancouver Consulate and actually talk to a living person
about this, unfortunately. They only answer inquiries via fax or e-mail.
If I were you, I'd attempt to get in touch with them. If they didn't
receive my fiance's fax, they may not have received yours either.

Interview Date Received!!
Hi,
Just got back from checking the mail - stuff from Vancouver!! Our interview date is July 2/03. I faxed the checklist on May 12, the letter is dated May 20 and was mailed on May 21.
I hope yours comes soon Barb - shouldn't be too much longer
