Default How to find A# for K2

Is it normal that there is no A# on the I-94 for a K2?

Do I need the A# for the I-485 prep (on both the K2's packet and the K1's)?

If needed, where can I obtain it?

Thanks,

JS

Don't know if it's normal, but our daughter didn't get an A# until after the
AOS was file. The NOA from the AOS filing was when they assigned her an A#.

Thanks for the feedback Michael!

I suppose then we fill out all the paperwork and leave the A# blank and
receive the A# from the NOA of the AOS.

Thanks,

JS

Michael is right. The A# for the K2 is assigned only at AOS. So just leave it blank..

To be on the safe side put "None".

I really don't know how that works, as we filed AOS in person. The clerk at the counter filled the blank space with the A# that was assigned to our K2 son.
If the application is being mailed, perhaps NONE would be best as Michael has said, as blank spaces should be avoided (see I-485 instructions)...

Hi:

I generally agree with the advice on "none." But in THIS particular question, when an "A" number will be assigned -- I put in a "dash" [---] so that the CIS office can enter the number and not worry about it being illegible because "none" fills the box. Same thing on the G-325A forms.

I also put "none" for my daughter's A#. Again it was assigned when we filed for AOS - it appears on the Notice of Action.
