Hi all

IR-1 applicant via DCF London . Got I-130 and LND a few months ago.

Dont plan to have medical and interview until December as dont want to move to US until april/may due to a friends wedding in the UK. Embassy confirmed this is fine.

So all I've been doing in the meantime is gathering documentation, noting of course that some (e.g. ACRO, passport photos, pay stubs if needed to support i864) have time restrictions.

Question is this- is there any advantage or disadvantage to submitting ds 260 earlier rather than later? Only thing I can think of is that there is a risk if I submit too early that answers may change between submission and interview (e.g. if I travel to new countries in this period).

Any opinions either way (or an opinion that it doesnt really matter!) Would be helpful. Appreciate my priorities are the opposite to most peoples priorities (I.e. get the visa ASAP so they can start their new life in the US!!)

What actually needs answering? Post it within a couple months of when you wish to arrange the medical... there is obviously no benefit bro be gained by posting early just take your time to double check everything.


Don't forget it's 6 months validity from the date of the medical so December may be a little early anyway...
