Here's good VSC news :)
According to my fiancé's congressional aide VSC has approved our petition on Tuesday, 14 October!
(editor's note- confused "this" Tuesday and "last" Tuesday... approved on Tuesday, 7 October...)
Guess it's time for a little party!

I'm waiting for my NOA2 also from vermont . Got RFE'd and it's been almost 3 weeks now since VSC got our response .

Great news
Hi Rebecca: Wow this is great news! Sorry I havent replied sooner but my computer has been out of commission for awhile and then I couldnt sign in as rnessman as that was my old name so I resigned as rnessman1. Looks like Sonja is back waiting at Vermont too and hopefully will get a better result this time.

as far as I understand it the Service Centers do still maintain phonelines for congressional staff- it's just us plebs they don't want to deal with any more
. Anyhow- there is a story to tell about contacting the senator's office... Things really sped up on the information front after my fiancé got registered as a voter... Before, he only had gotten one initial phonecall- and the rest was silence. The day after he registered and casually mentioned it in a fax to the local rep's office the "voter service" really improved... Geee- what a system
