HELP: question for those with Chinese spouse

Does anyone know if it's possible to make it any easier for relatives of your Chinese
spouse to visit from China -- to get a tourist visa? Once conditional permanent
resident status has been conferred upon your spouse, is it now any easier for him/her
to have relatives visit? I honestly don't know if the INS has anything to do with
this and there seems to be no info on the subject that I can find.
Thanks!

It makes no difference for a realtive to get a tourist visa whether they have a PR in
the US. I have a wife from Indonesia and they turned down a tourist visa for her
sister to come visit us in the US.
The same rules apply...they want to be sure that the person getting a tourist visa
will return to their home country! You might have better luck with a visa for
parents. They would probably have many ties to their home country and less likely to
have "immigrant intent." Good luck!

Having a relative in the US generally doesn't make it easier as it may give them more
reason to stay in the US.

You all remember this statement when I go talking about consulates not = giving visas
to unmarried young women again. =20
As he exited the consulate he was questioned by other hopefuls, they told him he was
the 9th visa granted that day out of 330 who tried so far, thats less than 3%.

Yes, I think you are a freak. No, I never said never. (My Mother says = Never is a
long, long time.) 9 out of 330 is NEVER to the 221 who did not get it. Buy a clue!

That leaves 100 who both did and didn't get it?!
Never = 0%. Almost never is a better phrase since now we just need to decide what
percentage "almost" allows!
Andy.

How could there be 100 who did and did not get it? There were 9 out of =
330. That is 221 who did not get it. Sometimes I think you don't get =
it. ;o) Never equals 0.127598 %, not 0%. Everyone knows that. Look it up in = your
