HELP NEEDED!!!! AOS pending on FBI name check for more than 12 months
My adjustment of status (I485) has been pending on FBI name check for
more than 12 months now. Here is my timeline:
May 2003: submitted marriage-based I485 application at San Jose
office.
Jun 2003: received advance parole and EAD.
Oct 2003: interviewed and passed at the above office. I was told
that my application was pending on FBI name check.
May 2004: contacted congressman for help but was told my case was
still pending.
Jun 2004: renewed my advance parole and EAD.
During the time, I have made numerous visits to San Jose office to
check my status and was told the same thing: still pending ...
Besides keep waiting, is there anything else I can do but I haven't
tried? Can I directly check with FBI? Any good or bad experience?
Any info is appreciated :-)

You could try contacting your local Congressman's office. I'm not sure
if he can do anything, but after it has been pending for such a long
time, it can't hurt to ask.
