Default HELP! - AOS Interview question(s)

We have our AOS interview this week.
I just got laid off last month so I will NOT be able to bring the letter of
employment as requested.
We are in the process of marketing our house and had LOTS of work to get
done on it
so my wife quit her part time job to help fix things up (we aren't hard up
for $$ at this time).

I am currently collecting un-employment...

So the question....

Is this going to bite us?
The High-Tech job market has taken a major beating here in Colorado and it
wouldn't
seem fair to hold this against us (but we are dealing with the govt.)...

Do I need to bring another Affidavit of support even though it was filed
with the AOS (13mo ago)?

Any other suggestions of items to have with us?

* We don't have any children
* I've owned my house for approx. 17yrs & the mortgage is in my name only
* We did file joint tax return last year
* We have bills & bank statements that are in Joint names

I might be out of line here, but if you are the sponsor (the affadavit of support is in your name solely) and your income information has changed, I would take a NEW affadavit of support. Since you say you are not hard up for $$ I would make this one out based on your assets rather than your past income. On this basis there will be no problem if you are asked for it. I believe you can use some part of your house value too, but you will need to read the smallprint for this.

At my AOS interview last month my DH was asked for a new one because they didn't have a full copy on the file. If we hadn't been able to hand one in that day the approval would have been delayed.

Good luck
I would post more but the chicken is grilling!

Thanks for the comments.... I have already made over 2x the money I would
need for this years poverty guidelines
so there shouldn't be any problem just using this years payroll stub plus
tax returns for last 3 years...
I did complete a new support form and JUST in case they want to raise any
questions I also added assets
that support 5x the poverty guidelines to cover next year as well!

I will throw out a post AFTER our interview to let folks know how everything
went.

Thanks to all for their support and comments!
