has TSC stopped processing k-1's altogether?
As far as I can tell, not only is TSC not processing K-1's, they are
not even issuing status reports. The last Texas Service Center
Processing Time Report I can find is dated 02/15/03 - 6 weeks ago.
CAn anyone tell me if they have stopped processing k-1's altogether?
Has anyone received a 2nd NOA from TSC in the past 6 weeks?
Also, what is this: A couple who was approved on 02/18/2003 made this
cryptic comment in the comment section on the "K-1 Processing Times"
site:
"after becoming fed-up with the lies, i went straight to the problem
in Dallas. A small protest. It was well worth the effort!"
Does that mean they staged a hunger strike on the front steps of TSC
or what?

Whoa... Did you have a good rest???
Go here for more details:
http://disc.server.com/Indices/154072.html
You'd better go back to messages that began around the 1st part of February. That will keep you busy for a while. You can also run a search "TSC Protest" on this board that will pull up a lot of threads.
And yes there have been approvals this month, only 4 of them. 3 of them were due to the protest and one was due to congressional intervention. There is another protest tomorrow and another on Friday, Mar 7.

Bob,
There was a protest held at the TSC on Feb. 12th, 2003. I think that the TSC is
not processing and will start back up soon, as this is the word going around
now.

The protest story and BRIEF outline.
Hilary staged a protest in which she and two others went to the TSC and
walked a little picket line. The story is quite interesting and is
contained in earlier posts on this newsgroup. Search under TSC protest.
Everyone was notified and invited.
Hilary was about to be approved anyway by my reckoning her timeline was a
week longer than mine.
READ THE STORY.... it's cute.

Bob, I'd be interested to see the website to which you're referring... I'd like to read that comment you posted. I attended the protest on February 14, which, despite our efforts to get TSC moving on ALL petitions, resulted only in the processing of those of us who were present. In hopes of letting TSC know that there are more people who are upset and disappointed, more protests are being planned for this week. Best of luck to ALL involved... I really hope that their efforts turn out wonderfully. I know the pain involved in waiting, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
To answer your actual question, it appears to me that TSC isn't processing anything but those 4 petitions Troy mentioned. From what I've heard at TSC, they plan on returning to their "regular" processing schedule on March 9... however, this is the FOURTH date they've set for that goal. Fingers crossed that it's the final date, and they actually DO get back to work.
Best of luck to you and yours.

Coincidentally
Have I slept for a month, or did you make a typo? 2/15 was not 6 weeks ago, it was 2 weeks ago.

Thank you Troy... I've not seen that website! Yet another resource for me.
BTW, best of luck to you all tomorrow. I truly hope you are successful in your endeavors.
