Hi all,
I need advice!! What would happen if a couple decided to get married on the spur of
the moment(after a 60 day visit by the fiance in the US) while still waiting for an
I-129F approval??
What if the couple just could not wait any longer for the I-129F paperwork and just
decided to marry in the US while the fiance was visiting and entered on a legitimate
tourist visa?
Chris

I really have no practical experience in this matter. I've just started searching
this newsgroup and some others regarding making plans with my girlfriend. I did come
across a lawyer's site that mentioned your exact question. The INS seriously looks
down on any marriages within 60 days of tourist visa. Legitimate or not. They
consider that fraud and you will have a hard time from there on out. If it really
means something to you wait or better yet get yourself to an immigration lawyer to
find what your best options are. Paul
