Talking Great news from Nebraska!

I just spoke with an information officer at the Nebraska Service Center. She told me they are now processing I129-F from 6/14/02! My NOA 1 was 6/18/02 so I am crossing my fingers.

However, there is even better news. For some reason I asked if they sent the application straight to GuangZhou or to the National Visa Center. She told me they send it straight to GZ via.....Federal Express! I asked if this meant the former 5 month waiting period for the pouch to arrive no longer applied. She said that GZ now receives the applications in less than a week!!!!!!!

Does anyone have recent experience with this? Perhaps some of you who have had your I129-F approved during the last month can comment on the time it took to arrive at the consulate.

I am beyond words right now

I figure it will take at least a couple weeks for frustration to set in again

Take pleasure in the small steps.

Good luck and fast processing to all!

Tom, I got my P2 out of NSC on 9/27. I left 2 days later for Shanghai and NanJing and just got back so I don't know if GZ has received it or not. I'll have my sweetie call and see if it has showed up yet. As you may know, GZ has traditionally taken their time after receiving approved petitions until they actually are officially received and given a GUZ#. Still, this beats the 1 ~ 4 months it used to take for the pouch to get there.

PS - I posted your news on the English language page on 001.

Ya..it kinda perked me up when I read it. It's only 6 AM there, so I won't talk with her for another 3 hours. I'm gonna have her call GZ and check on it. Unfortunately, the GZ mailroom is infamous for taking it's time getting the approval into their que. Still, it should cut the overall waiting time.

Tom, I was told the same thing today when speaking with INS in Nebraska.
They said the new policy is to send the approved applications out Federal
Express on Friday of each week. So there is no more need to request
"cabling" or any expedited service for your petition.

Good luck, you should hear something soon, I also got approved and my first
NOA was June 5th.

Does anyone know if this just applies to Nebraska, or do all Service Centers now use Fedex?

Yikes.

My first NOA is 06/18. I wasn't counting on hearing anything this month, but it looks like maybe so. My hope is just to get the 2nd NOA by the end of the year Less stress for me thinking that way.....

Congrats to all those with recent approvals! And best of luck to all thos still waiting.
