Default Got 2nd NOA... but they are sending it to the wrong consulate. NOW WHAT?

My fiancee just informed me though our lawyer that the second NOA has come through...
quicker than we expected and this is a good thing and we are both really excited
about it...

Filed TSC May 23,2002 First NOA May 24, 2002 Second NOA June 19, 2002

There is a problem with it however...

We requested the Vancouver office of the American Consulate and for some reason we
are being sent to the Montreal office of the American Consulate.

We probably shouldn't complain about the consulate change but it's going to cost a
huge amount in airfare and hotel accomodations. The Vancouver office would have cost
us much, much less and we could have stayed with friends.

NOW WHAT? Is there anyway we can change the consulate? Has anyone ever had this
experience?

Whoever is the Canadian citizen should contact the US Consulate in Vancouver and tell them about the problem. You will probably have to fax them a copy of the final Notice of Approval. They can request that the US Consulate in Montreal forward the file to them for final processing.

I am not a lawyer and this is not immigration advice. This is my personal opinion,
